YET WILL I PRAISE YOU - by Lisa
Has this happened to you? I'll bet it has. Perhaps you've worked really hard on something. Perhaps you've tried to be an extra special Christian friend to someone. Then, boom, all of a sudden the ground is pulled out from under you. You don't know why, but things are terribly wrong and you're hurting.
How do we find God in all of this? How do we continue living the Christian life, even as people and things that are precious to us are ripped away? Here's the secret. God knows more than we do. He sees farther down the line - all the way down actually. He knows that sometimes things that seem so hurtful actually benefit us in the long run.
Once I had a situation with a boss where I was badly hurt. It bothered me for years, until I realized that I could not have done other things in my life - things that benefited a great many people - if I had stayed with that company. So God, in his wisdom, removed me and set me on the path that he wanted.
What's your story? Has something happened that years later you could see as the pivotal point to a greater good? Yet will I praise you, my king and my God.
Blessings today,
Lisa
