God's Peace

Do you feel overwhelmed by what's not good in your life?  Are there things you've done wrong - or things done wrong to you?  Either way - it's bad!

I know I'm as guilty of this.  If only certain things hadn't happened.  If only my life was different.  Then everything would be great.

I recently came across this quote: "How easy it is to blame others for our unhappiness, but we are only unhappy when something other than Christ has become our life."  (Francis Frangipane)

That brought me up short.  Of course he's right.  When those thoughts rule my life, I lose my true focus - Christ.  As a Vietnamese friend says, "That's no good!!"  When I remember that I am made in the image of God and nothing can separate me from him, my peace is restored.

Do you have trouble focusing on Christ?  Where are your challenges?
