NON-STOP - By Lisa Are Wulf

Christian Prayer

The other day I was at a seminar and we were discussing God - YAHWEH to be exact. Now you probably know that YAHWEH was the Hebrew name for God. But they actually spelled it like this - YHWH. Plus, since God's name was sacred, they didn't ever actually say it out loud.

OK - that's interesting, but why were we even talking about it? Well, the leader brought up an novel idea. Even though the name wasn't supposed to be said aloud, it's possible to breathe it. I know that sounds strange, but think of it like this: YH (breathe in) WH (breathe out).

Here's the point - the apostle Paul tells us to pray without ceasing and that's really hard to do. But breathing isn't.  So if you want to have non-stop prayer just breathe the name of God all day long.

What do you think - is this a cool idea or a little odd?

I've never thought about this before, and it's actually a very good thought. I like it.

      Hi Kate -

Hey thanks for stopping by the blog.

I thought this prayer idea was pretty interesting too when I heard it. Definitely worth a try.

      Be blessed today,

      Lisa
