WHAT'S NEXT? - by Lisa Are Wulf
Spiritual Journey

I know it sounds like a trite question, but what if you only had a few more years to live? What would you do? Usually we bypass questions like this and keep on doing what we've always been doing because, after all, we're indestructible. Right?
Recently several people passed away who have been significant in my life at one time or another. Some were only a few years older than I am now. So I've been thinking about the years I have left. Should I continue on my current path or change direction while I still can?
When time becomes limited, following God's direction takes on a greater urgency. How much energy should I spend on activities that don't bring me closer to him? Do I really want to remain immersed in the loud, mean controversies of the world? Or is it time to let go and just pursue peace, love and Christlikeness?
What would you do?

Great questions, Lisa! You've helped me muse on this important theme as this new academic year begins. Even if the result is re-choosing the path I'm on, I can do so with more clarity, renewing my "yes" to God's call.

Hi There -
Thanks for your very kind post. I'm glad I was able to help you to clarify your path. Sometimes a reflection like this can be sobering, but uplifting at the same time as we contemplate where we're really called.
Thanks again!
Lisa
