Christian Prayer
A dove rests quietly beside the small bird pool in my garden. She turns to drink and then returns to her rest. I am in awe of her confidence. She is a perfect vision of prayer.
Our most powerful prayers radiate silently from the depths of our soul. Human effort is set aside. We rest in great faith that moves mountains. "In returning to God and his rest we are safe. In quietness and trust we are strong." Isaiah 30:15 (PAR)
The same power exerted by the Father when he raised Jesus from the dead resides within those who are at peace in Christ. So rest quietly in your prayers and drink of the Holy Spirit to refresh your soul. Let your prayers move heaven and earth with the meekness of a dove. Will you join her?
