There is a rose scented candle that I light whenever I am in my prayer room. Aside from the aesthetics, this candle reminds me how I want to live my life before God. You see, in order for the candle to give off its sweet fragrance, the candle must be willing to become consumed by the flame of the light.
That same principle applies to my life. If I want to spread the life giving aroma of Christ, then I must be willing to be consumed by the flame of his light. My life will be a burnt offering to the Word of God who visited humanity in human flesh.
"What has come into being in [Jesus] was life, and the life was the light of all people (John 1 3-4)." Would you choose to become a sweet fragrance? Let your life shine like a candle before the Son of God.

If a candle is brought into a dark room, the darkness not only dissolves
and disappears, but it seems magically converted into light.
