BREAD OF HEAVEN - by Calvin Wulf

Teresa of Avila says that Jesus comes to us disguised as bread so we will not be afraid to partake of him every day. We need our daily bread and Jesus even taught us to pray, "Give us the bread we need, day-by-day." We are welcome to receive his loving presence until we get our fill.
Jesus said, "I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." Although he uses the word, "flesh," Jesus is speaking in spiritual terms. He also tells us that if you eat his bread you will never be hungry again. Yes, spiritual terms.
Jesus is present with us whenever we want to be with him. Simply call his name and he is there with you. Experiencing his presence with regular practice will improve your perception of his physical being. Go and spend time alone with Jesus.
