I don't know if you are interested in this sort of thing, but my daughter has made a 20 minute video for Easter that I would like to share. The video is the Story of Edith Easter, written by San Antonio resident and author (now deceased) Russell Kelfer. It is available for viewing at www.vimeo.com/9510248. There is also an Edith Easter page on Facebook where it can be viewed. The video was made by my daughter, Krista, who is a freshman in college. She worked really hard on it! If you view it and enjoy it, please feel free to share it. Thank you. Happy Easter! I see more precedence Biblically (in the New Testament) for celebrating Passover than Lent and Easter (1 Cor. 5).

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%205&version=NASB

http://www.paganchristianity.org/

Worth considering.
-shalom!
JF

http://www.nvcc.edu/home/lshulman/Rel232/resource/RileyPaper.htm

Comment on LENT - by Calvin Wulf

Hi Jason, you can access the free download I mentioned about Lent here:
http://www.livingforgod.net/downloads/lentfastingcharity.html

Comment on LENT - by Calvin Wulf

Nope, I never even heard of it.

Comment on LENT - by Calvin Wulf

Thanks! It helps to remember the Exodus from Egypt and is a wonderful foreshadowing of redemption on the cross. I hope to publish a free download on the history and practices of Lent in the early church soon. Stay tuned, maybe even subscribe to the blog.
